Guest daveba Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Just incase people are not reading XDA forums, wireless tether is fixed now. code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/issues/detail?id=330#c66 Tested and working perfectly.
Guest Graham Wood Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Ditto. Works perfectly - thanks for the heads up :)
Guest bas-r Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Not sure what I'm doing wrong: Made a directory on sdcard called android.tether, dumped the *.bin into it (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1496809/fw_bcm4329.bin) Then installed the 2.0.2 pre14 release of wireless tether on it (http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/WiFi-Tether-Download-76020.html) Still I cannot connect to my phone...
Guest Graham Wood Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) Have you removed the hard coded IP, and re-enabled DHCP? I still had static IP, and it didn't work :) Once I'd removed that, the netbook (W7) grabbed an IP, and showed up on the Desire. If you've done all that, and it's not Windows 7, what OS is it? Ok, it was just a matter of logging on and off. Now I can connect, through DHCP, to my wirelessly tethering phone, using Ubuntu 10.04 :) Thanks for the fix!
Guest igorzaniolo Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 hy i test it but on my rooted desire doesn't work perhaps because i have the rom 1.15? my pc or my ipod doesn't take a valid ip
