Hi all,

I have my desire for about A month.

At the begining I lost about 5% during the night (about 8hours), and now I loose 20% for the same standby duration.

What could explain this?

I don't see any apps running that could drain the battery...

I did the update from htc .

Does anybody have new about froyo update on desire?

Thx :)

my reply today from another topic at xda:

I don't understand. Yesterday, I unplugged the phone at 9u30. Around 18u, I still got 80% left while using the phone during 30 mins for calling and sending only 1 sms and occasionaly woke the system up to check some settings.

This night, I unplugged the phone at 2u, and set it to airplane mode. Still got 94% and this morning, around 7u40 this morning, I woke up and my battery life reduced to 59%...

When I checked juiceplotter, I see the battery life reducing this night at a really constant level, so there was no app that drains the battery... I don't understand and it doesn't make sense.

It's like that airplane mode drains the battery more...

I ran my HTC Desire overnight with everything except the GSM Radio turned off (I need to get message 24h/d so can't turn the phone off). It started at 100% and had dropped to 22% 7hr later. I tried a similar discharge yesterday during the day, and on average I loose 11-12% per hour. I thought that it might have been Fring, but uninstalling that has made no difference.

Time for a power-off restart and a hope for the best.

woow, that's horrible compared to mine... I uninstalled juice defender yesterday, since it only automatically regulates wireless controls, which I now switch on or off manually. Also juice defender was blocking my APN so I always had to reset back my APN's to default. Now, during office hours, my battery doesn't drain that much, I usually still have around 80-84% left after a working day with moderate use.

But I still have to do some tests. But I believe that some apps do drain the battery more.

I get much better battery life than this, your network must be more draining than mine. Try changing the Always on mobile data in the settings.
