Guest tudorw Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Just had a conversation with o2 on my contract options, according to the call after 9 months I am permitted to move down 1 tariff per month and minimum tariff is £10, so TCO is; 9 * 25 + 1*20 + 1*15 + 13*10 that brings TCO down to £390, is that right? sounds OK to me :)

I am £400 for the phone. Using giffgaff sim for £10 pm unlimited data, unlimited texts, 100 minutes. So no contract. No unlock needed as giffgaff uses o2. Enjoying every minute. Hope this is of use. If anyone wants a giffgaff sim they are free on their website with other bundles available. If you get one please use 'harrytheweb' as the referral.

You just answered my question about if giffgaff worked! I'm still on O2 but will definitely be switching soon. Thanks.
Guest wywywywy Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 You just answered my question about if giffgaff worked! I'm still on O2 but will definitely be switching soon. Thanks. But Giffgaff unlimited data is only until the end of June, isn't it?
Guest courtlandre Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 But Giffgaff unlimited data is only until the end of June, isn't it? Yeah, but you can still get unlimited data if you top up every month. The free data right now is regardless I think.
Guest trickyhenry Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 But Giffgaff unlimited data is only until the end of June, isn't it? Data is free at the moment but its unlimited on a £10 goody bag anyway.
Guest tudorw Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 ok, apologies, let me recap, I am on a 24M £30/month (600mins, unlimited text) voice plans with an unlimited data +wifi bundle, given the option to step down my contract after 9 months, TCO would be: 9 * 30 + 1*25 + 1*20 + 1*15 + 12*10 £450 TCO, so say over 12 months (given dell streak will look ancient in that time), I get the phone and plan for £37.50 a month. I ended up taking out insurance at £10/month inc VAT, reflecting that I killed at least 3 kaiser's in 12 months... that i'll cancel once the value of the handset has dropped significantly.
