Guest InsideOut Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) So I'm trying to follow the rooting guide, but I'm stuck at the step #1 :) When I start the phone in FASTBOOT mode and connect it to my PC, nothing happens. Windows (XP SP3) doesn't recognize it (it actually plays that sound you hear when you connect USB devices, but nothing else happens), and if I try the command prompt thing, it just stays stuck on "waiting for device". I tried to use a different USB socket and a different PC (running XP as well), but nothing seems to help.. what can I do? Edited June 8, 2010 by InsideOut

If that fails, use the TinyCoreLinux guide.
Guest InsideOut Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) Cool, I installed HTC sync and everything is fine now, thanks!!! :) I really wish that was mentioned in the guide, I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what's wrong :) Edited June 8, 2010 by InsideOut
