Guest scrap2434 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) I have been trying to use doubletwist, but it doesn't have the identifiers for Acer Liquid. I have today created an identifier and so far so good. I can now use doubletwist, it can see my phone and I can now drag AVIs to my phone and it converts them to 480x800 MP4s whilst syncing :) I have attached the identifer file, so just download it and copy it to the following directory (in Windows7) C:\ProgramData\doubleTwist Corporation\doubleTwist desktop\Adapters Just make sure when you fire up DT you have your phone is mass storage mode. Enjoy www.doubletwist.com (if you need the software) Identifier File - 57631444-4b20-4f7f-ae64-7ac553ccecae Password is liquid Edited June 9, 2010 by scrap2434

Guest willyaranda Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Testing, just quoting from DT page: On Windows, doubleTwist looks for 3rd party device adapters in the following folders: WinXP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\doubleTwist Corporation\doubleTwist desktop\Adapters Vista/W7: C:\Users\All Users\doubleTwist Corporation\doubleTwist desktop\Adapters On Mac OS X, doubleTwist looks for 3rd party device adapters in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/doubleTwist/Adapters. Any file in these folders with an extension of ".xml" will be parsed as a device adapter. (note the .xml extension to the file)
Guest willyaranda Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Testing: 1) You should connect the Liquid in USB Storage mode instead in just plug-and-play. (change this option in notification bar) as you have noted (so no Android market installation?) <FolderPath>/DCIM/100ANDRO</FolderPath> <FolderPath>/DCIM/100MEDIA</FolderPath> <FolderPath>/DCIM/Camera</FolderPath> <FolderPath>/MP3</FolderPath> <FolderPath>/amazonmp3</FolderPath> <FolderPath>/Movies</FolderPath> So you need to have Images, Movies or music in that folders (I had my music on /music, so DT didn't detect any of them)
Guest scrap2434 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Yeah, that is just the folders I specified. It can be changed via the ID file

(note the .xml extension to the file) Can't get it to detect on osx following these instructions. it keeps showing it as Acer Incorporated Acer HSUSB Device.
Guest CedricGatay Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Works for me under OSX... restart doubleTwist after putting the xml file was necessary thought
Guest miseryshining Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Works for me under OSX... restart doubleTwist after putting the xml file was necessary thought yea, i did that as well. also tried wiping complete doubleTwist folder without result. I've created a folder "Adapters" inside the "doubleTwist" folder and put the file in there with extension .xml: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/doubleTwist/Adapters/57631444-4b20-4f7f-ae64-7ac553ccecae.xml Running doubleTwist 1.0b16 (3459) That should work, right?
Guest CedricGatay Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I am running the same version, the only difference is that i kept the .dat in the file name : [14:38]cgatay@local:~$ ls ~/Library/Application\ Support/doubleTwist/Adapters/ 57631444-4b20-4f7f-ae64-7ac553.dat.xml

Do you have the white one?
Guest scrap2434 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I have the black version, possibly the GUID differs? Do you have the white one? I also have the black version. But I am running the 2.1 ROM..... perhaps there is a difference between 2.1 and 1.6 ?
Guest miseryshining Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I also have the black version. But I am running the 2.1 ROM..... perhaps there is a difference between 2.1 and 1.6 ? Ok, thanks. I'm on a vanilla liquid here, planning to try a LCR later on.
