Guest fabsn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Hey dudes! 'sup? Something very strange occured just a few minutes ago: I unplugged my desire and the battery life just shows 92% both in my battery widget (BatteryLife by CurveFish) and SpareParts. BatteryLife displays the battery status as "good" - when I plug it back in, It keeps saying 92% but the "Good" changes into "Full" and after a few seconds it jumps right to 100%. The strange thing is, that android itself displays a full battery icon in the top right corner and when I open up the settings menu and go to battery status, the bar is also completely full. I really do not know whom I should believe :)
Guest The Asgard Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I have noticed this too. I would imagine it's to do with the battery charging logic and quite normal.
Guest fabsn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Attaching some screenshots. "Voll" is german for "Full". As you can see, android itself displayes 100%, both spare parts and BatteryLife just 95% but also "Full".
Guest fabsn Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Again: charged the battery the whole night and it displayed 100% After pluggin in the pc usb, it says 92% I hate that.
Guest andy76q Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 turn your phone off then put it back to charging, it will now charge the last %. when led turns green start the phone.
Guest yukkio Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 Same problem here :) In htcmania spanish forum, people have the same problem with 1.21 update Br.
Guest i6bazar Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 It's because once the battery is fully charged, the phone drains the power from the battery and not from the USB. Therefore after a while you might reach 92% of battery and if you plug it back, the battery start charging again.

Sometimes it jumps straight to 100.
Guest Andrsp Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 same here, noticed that after updating from 1.15 to 1.21
Guest Diggedy Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 same here, i had juicy plotter running and it showed the battery drop from 100 to 89 in minutes after removing it from ac charge. It charged back up to 100% no problem and its only happened twice. ive seen it appear in a lot of forums but I dont know if anyones pinned it down yet
