Guest wingphil Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I flashed the stock 1.21 firmware from the RUU on xda-developers, and it's the WWE version. Now my dictionary has all the american spellings in it. Is there any way to install the british english dictionary on a non rooted phone? Cheers!
Guest EddyOS Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) When I first set my device up it ask the language in use and you choose United Kingdom - having said that, I don't use predictive text, I prefer to do it manually so have never noticed it being wrong... Guest wingphil Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Yep I chose UK as well, you can set this up at any time from Settings->Language and Keyboard->Select Locale. But in predictive text it doesn't have a british english dictionary. It's probably a small price to pay to ditch all the orange crap on my phone and get updates in a timely fashion :)
Guest EddyOS Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 True, just turn off predictive and type it yourself!! :)
Guest wingphil Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Nah, I like the "phone keypad" IME. I can't use the phone one handed with the qwerty keyboard. I'm much faster with T9. It's OK i can just add english spellings as I go!
