It has been 5 days since I updated my hero from MCR3.2 to official 2.1, everything seems right but I got a problem with WIFI.

1, I kept the WIFI always on and I can connect to my tp-link wlan router, but 2 days ago, I went to my friends', and my hero can find many hot spot except my friend's router, I thought it may be the reason of my friend's router, but today, I used my hero as usual and get on internet by wifi, after I went out and got back I can't find my wlan router any more.

I am very confused, how it happen? Does any one have the same problem?

One more information, I do the factory reset, it can't find my router too, I reflash the 2.1 rom, it can't work too.

But I went back to my MCR3.2, my wifi works again, is the bug of the official 2.1 rom?

You guys haven't got it yet?

Everything that's missing is BY DESIGN.

All those missing things are very well implemented in IPhone however.

Move over if you want peace of mind. I did... and I do..

Try Flashing the Radio ROM again after flashing 2.1 ROM, that can be the cause.

On a similar note, can I open the root menu and reload the older version after I update to the official 2.1 Android (If phone is rooted beforehand)??

Just a guess, but is your router running on a channel that your phone can't see? Maybe the old (British) ROM had broader access to channels, and the new (Taiwanese) ROM can't see the channel you're running on.

Like I said, just a guess.
