Have you logged into your gmail account online. Not on your phone, on a "real" computer. There are dozens of settings to do with devices reading your emails and leaving copies etc. I guess your phone is marking the email as read. Then google are not keeping a copy of it so when your phone re-syncs it is no longer there and syncs with nothing. I will log into mine now and see if I can spot the section.
Guest jp514 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I have just checked. Under POP3 there is a setting for retaining googles copy after it has been read. Which email program are you currently using the htc one or the native google one? The native one does not use POP3 so if you are using that it could be something else.

Thanks for your answer :) My emaila are still on the webserver. But on the phone they dissapear almost immediately. I can receive an e-mail, and when I go back to my inbox an hour or so later the e-mail is gone. No use having a e-mail app on the phone when you still have to use a computer to log on to google and recover e-mails from there :) I have the same problem with both e-mail apps. I also use microsoft outlook for my gmail on my computer and have no trouble there.

You just named it yourself From the moment outlook receives your messages, it pulls it off of the gmail server, so your phone doesn't see it anymore :) like jp514 said, go to your settings in gmail, go to POP3 and there you can say it has to keep a copy of the mail in your inbox Or you could just press menu in your gmail app on you phone, go to labels, all mail and normally all your mails are there too Edited June 9, 2010 by Need_A_Username
Guest EddyOS Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 That's not true, it could be that the POP3 settings in the Gmail account are set to archive/delete the email once access via POP3. All you need to do is change this to leave in your inbox and then the phone will still see them in your inbox...otherwise check your 'All Mail' and 'Trash' folders on your phone (under 'Labels')
Guest badgerarc Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 have you synced all the folders / labels that you need in the gmail app on the phone? If not - you won't see them.
