Screen will not rotate

Hi guys. I just got a new case for my s710, using the HTC manual for taking apart and putting it back together. I replaced the case, everything works well except that the screen is stuck on wide. I will not go to the thin screen for nothing. How do i fix this? and/or what controls the screen on the phone it self.
