I have just rooted. Everything works fine.. Great guide. Installed the latest rom in the kitchen.

But I noticed flash player not working. Tested it several sites. It worked fine before I rooted.

firmware 2.1 update

Kernel 2.6.29-bravo-mck-r1

1.21.MCR.2 CLxxxxxxxx realease-keys

Madaco Custom ROM r3.1 for the HTC desire

Everything works great exept from flash

not sure on this one, I am on same rom, and flash works fine, unbranded HTC Desire, hboot 0.75, maybe you removed something in the kitchen, or something that's linked to it that might stop it from working, purely just speculating, try a different build from the kitchen or a different rom.

Dont know what I should have removed. Followed the bootloader 0.80 rooting guide..

Is it safe to reflash the ROM again?? Will I loose apps, and A2sd+ etc.

I can see some few others have the same problem but no answer to theire posts

it could be app2sd+ related somehow, I too have rom 3.1 and flash is not working.

I have the same problem here.. unbranded desire, using mcr 3.0 tho.

Both HTC Flash Player and FlashLite Plugin do show up in application list

--edit: updated to 3.1, still no flash :)

I wiped using the ClockworkMod recovery, then manually formatted the ext3 partition on my sd card (since this doesn't work in the recovery). Then reflashed using a ROM baked with paul's kitchen..

Now flash is working again :) yay!

Maybe there is something wrong with the r3.1-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-a2sd+-signed.zip ROM specifically?

Also, if you don't want to loose apps and settings i suggest you use Titanium Backup (press menu->batch->backup all user apps & system settings, then restore the backup after you flashed your ROM). Titanium Backup should be included with the default ROMs.
