( i have heard that they can be deleted by using file manager. but which files need to be deleted ?) Also are there any benefits of deleting additional languages ? I am not going to use anything other than english...

I am not going to use anything other than english... adb shell # mount -o remount,rw /system # rm /system/app/XxxxPack.apk where Xxxx isthe language you want to delete. You can use the space freed to install your favourite apps.
