Guest ogiogi Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) This is a music player mod that replaces the stock music player and widget. Says it's for any Eclair ROM, but i don't know if it will work on the T-Mo one. LINK: http://development.piratemedia.tv/2010-06-...v1-6-mdpi-hdpi/ Edited October 21, 2010 by ogiogi
Guest Simon O Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Yes it works with most 2.1 roms, including mine. I was going to add this as the default player in my rom but decided not to at the last minute. It's very good. Mostly looks like the generic 2.1 music player but the playback screen is a lot better, imho, and it provides more widgets.

Guest le_lutin Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I copied this file to my sd card and installed it from there. Everything worked fine.. until I rebooted that is. Then it went back to the stock music app. This happens every time I reboot Do I have to do something else to permanently replace the stock music app with this one?

You need to replace the stock music app in /system/app/Music.apk
Guest le_lutin Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 You need to replace the stock music app in /system/app/Music.apk Thanks a million Flibs(!)
Guest le_lutin Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 EDIT: Just copied the new Music.apk into the same folder as the old one, thus overwriting the old. Now the music app (with the new icon) gives me a force close every time I try to open it. Reboot didn't help Should I have deleted the .odex file too?

You may also have to clear dalvik cache from recovery too.

Then it's simply a case of navigating to whatever folder location and deleting, copying or pasting. oh yes, be sure to delete both the music.apk and the music.odex, otherwise you will encounter the error message i had above. Guest Simon O Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 The Winamp for Android is brilliant and if you get the latest Winamp 5 beta you can sync your Winamp library with the Android player. Android. It really whips Steve Jobs' ass
Guest JimJam707 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 WTF? What is this all about? And I feel sorry for that llama... I don't know but that disturbed me too.... ._.'
Guest il_cholo Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 I don't know but that disturbed me too.... ._.' :P I use lithium player also btw, I´m trying winamp now.
Guest Schwertfish Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Can someone explain these Winamp lockscreen controls for me? When I want to unlock the phone I get the usual lockscreen with the sliders with no controls. After unlocking the phone with the slider I get a winamp lockscreen with control etc (seen in ogiogis third screenshot). Is this "double lockscreen" intended? If so, it's rather stupid and useless :P Or am I doing something wrong? edit: Also, curse you, il_cholo...because I followed your link and clicked on a related video, I now have the stuck in my head...
