I'm nearly 100% sure that your radio problem has nothing to do with your mkbootfs/img.

I'm facing the same problems with my self build .27 kernels.

Are you using a self build kernel?

I tried repacking MCR kernel and ramdisk and radio was working, so I guess the problem is elsewhere.

I haven't found a solution though =/

Now I know the problem. while I use mkbootimg I'm still using :

--cmdline 'no_console_suspend=1 console=null'

thats make the radio not working.

after I change the cmdline to :

--cmdline "mem=128M console=ttyMSM2,115200n8 androidboot.hardware=qcom console=ttyUSBCONSOLE0 androidboot.console=ttyUSBCONSOLE0"

the radio is working, and I have my own boot.img with a2sd ready

now I using Tmobile for my U8230. I know it's still 1.5, but I know what I want : U8230 Tmobile style with A2SD :)

thanks BigBear !

It is funny, T-Mobile owners want vanilla, vanilla owners want T-mobile :)
