How can I turn off GSM network while keeping wifi on?

At night, I don't want to receive any call or sms, so I want to turn off GSM network , but at the same time I want to browse some web page so I want to keep wifi on,

how can I do that?

On 1.6 rom you should use Airplane Mode (Airplane AutoSwitch) + Airplane Mode Wi-Fi Tool

On 2.1 there is no need of Airplane Mode Wi-Fi Tool, but you should use Timeriffic to schedule your airplane mode switching

I don't need to switch automatically, I just switch it manually.

But when I start airplane mode, the wifi is turn off too.

Btw , I'm using Eclair 1.005 + superroot.

In Eclair, when airplane mode is enabled, you should still be able to go into settings and enable wifi manually. It's greyed only in Donut.

Cant see your problem - manually just go into Acer settings, then phone network settings, then disable data connections
