Guest Paul Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Have some small scratches on the plastic to the sides of the screen already... doesn't seem very durable! :) P
Guest snpg Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Have some small scratches on the plastic to the sides of the screen already... doesn't seem very durable! :) P Same here. Within a few minutes of having it one appeared. I keep it in the folio case most of the time, but the plastic on the right-hand side is still exposed.
Guest knightpants Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 I have a large scratch on the screen already, don't even know how it happened... :)
Guest rovex Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Mine is fine so far, no scratches, although it has turned itself off a few time in my pocket. Im not sold on the wisdom of the backplate acting like a switch. If you bang the phone it will shut down because the backplate thinks its been removed..
Guest Dogmann55 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 @rovex Well when i first got mine the back plate kept coming off when i polished the screen and i was worried only then did i realise you really need to slide it firmly in and as far as it will go to the right so you can see the speaker grill under the cover on the left and it's tight to the right hand side since doing that it's been fine. @all No scratches here but i really want my ADVERTISING SPAM case for it as soon as possible hate this stupid micro-fibre bag as it's far from the best way to have to take it out each time to use it IMO. Marc
Guest rovex Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 The plate is as far right as it will go, however the phone chassis is quite flexible, any flexing will trigger a shutdown, but the plate remains in place.
Guest marra2 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 might get one of these cases ! http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/phone-acc...REAK-FOLIO-CASE
Guest craigdabbs Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 I have a large scratch on the screen already, don't even know how it happened... :) that dont sound good considering its gorilla glass, anyone else got any marks on the glass already? might have to purchase a invisishield when one is made
Guest HorusUK Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Got one myself, fortunately completely in the border. Not highly noticable, but *I* know it's there, and that's bad enough. Especially as we've been marketed at to believe that gorilla glass is the bees knees... I'll have to put a screen protector on it, but for now, I'm making a lot of use of the slip cover.
Guest deekarma Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Small scratch on my screen, unnoticeable when screen is on, but enough to lose all confidence in gorilla glass. Downer. Also slashed Ebay value if I ever get bored of the beast. Double downer. Don't even know how it happened, the phone hasn't been in a pocket with keys or coins or anything.
Guest tudorw Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 screens holding up but like paul scratched are starting to appear, in better news I dropped it about 4ft onto carpeted wood floor and it was fine, and I hit a wall with it as I used it steady myself on some stairs.. I can confirm they shut off if ya whack em!
Guest maskaler Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 I'm fairly anal about keeping my phone and only my phone in one of my pockets so that tends to keep mine scratch free. *touchs many different woods*. Still, it does strike me as the sort of thing I'd do if I made the streak. Spend all my time making the screen amazing and forget about the rest of it!
Guest courtlandre Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Speaking of the screen being indestructable... has anyone found a matte screen protector yet? I dont want one to actually protect the screen, but the matte protectors are just a treat to use because your fingers slide so much better.
