Guest Nesli Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 I was using swapper on my old G1...( swap file/swap partition on sdcard) ..Dont have to worry about sdcard life degradation..Its ok, but you need fast SD card, class 6 or above - it doesnt speed up the device, but it helps to keep aplications in memory, so it looks that it is "faster" - it also needs restart once a day, cause swap file is going to be messy => slow down the device..

Acer disabled swap from all of there official kernel, so only hand compiled kernels with appropriate option (ie the one I built for Froyo :)) works.
Guest vikings123 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Me too :) Never got the Swapper2 to work.... :)
Guest fischschneehase Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Perhabs some of the devs could help the ones who atent able to run it...
