Guest Adaho0 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) There is no problem with flashing if you have Windows 7. Really. If You see any errors, tell me about it. Programs you need: Samsung Modem Vista GrandPrix Flasher for Vista/7 i900EXEcutor 1. Install drivers. 2. REBOOT computer. 3. Download and run Windows Mobile Device Center and check connection. If connected, proceed with 4 :) 4. UNCHECK allow to USB connections. It's really important to do this. 5. Download Your favourite ROM. 6. If it's .exe file, disassemble rom with EXEcutor. 7. Turn Off the Phone but leave it conneced to USB cable. 8. Run GrandPrix with option Run As Admin... 9. Select profile GRANDPRIX LV image. 10. Select LOADER and PDA files from folder with disassembled rom (folder created by EXEcutor) 11. Click DETECT and turn ON the phone. 12. If flashing dont start, click START DOWNLOADING That's all. Nothing more. I flash several roms with this method. Omnia still works :) Edited June 13, 2010 by Adaho0
Guest PTKTheBest Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 11. Turn ON the Phone and click DETECT Is incorrect. 11. Click DETECT and turn on the phone ;-)

My only comment is that I have quite unsuccessful in flashing when Windows Mobile Device Center is installed. I am using Win7 64bit Ultimate. If it would help some more, I have replied in a similar post about my experiences (see link below). Again thanks and more power! http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1296351

Guest menghuizhi Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Wait. So this means that flashing on Windows 7 32-bit is okay but not on Windows 7 64-bit? (Without having to get a virtual workstation with VMWare a Windows XP CD or .ISO.)

When I use EXEcutor to disassemble any other .exe CustomROM it just create a folder with the first 2 files. Is the .csc file necesary for flashing? Can I brick my phone without this file? Please help, thanks in advanced!
