Guest Anton K Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Hi i have only had my Desire for about a week - my first Android device. My GPS locked on sattelites instantly for the first three days - and navigation worked fine with Brut maps. So i updated my phone and maps - and now i can no longer get any connection to sattelites at all. I have hard reset the phone - tried with or without SD card in Airplane mode and so on - nothing seems to work. I lost my previous phone and with that my navigation device - and I rely on navigation everyday for my work - so i need to get this working again - or i'll have to take it back. Any help is much appreciated. I live in Denmark and I'm on the 3 network - my phone is as far as i can tell not 3-branded. Best regards Anton K
Guest xTc is loVe Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Uninstall maps and install brut maps again. Maps normal Navigation dont work everywhere, because Google locked it. Or u use AndNav2 or something similar.
Guest Anton K Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 Thanks - that's why i had brut maps on there in the first place - but brut maps doesn't work either. It just keeps seaching for GPS signal. The reason i upgraded was because they just released navigation in Denmark and people are reporting that it works now - officially. I will try with AndNav2 - but i think it is something in the phone update that might cause it to loose contact with the GPS all together - it doesn't even show me where i am - only very roughly based on network coverage.
Guest Anton K Posted June 14, 2010 Report Posted June 14, 2010 I took it back - and got another phone. I think the GPS was fried.
