ok then...

I rooted my Desire, and installed apps2sd etc.. using This Method

i spazzed up my phone by removing apks for stocks and peep. Then i heard about the 1.21 update, so thought id give it a go. which didnt go quite so swimmingly! nobody said i had to use the goldcard!!!

had to go back to t-mobile 1.15.110.11, then to generic 1.15.405.3, then up to 1.21.405.2.

which all went ok once the goldcard was in!

I presume i'm no longer rooted now?

im pretty sure apps2sd is gone aswell?

this being the case, i now have a partitioned 4gb sd card with a partition that is now useless, how do i unpartition the sd card???

Why...? well, hopefully 2.2 will be around soon and i'd rather have that...

Stick it in your PC and format it (mkdosfs if on linux).

or go to setting->storage on your phone, and select unmount, then format.

(I have not tested on the phone, as I do have a2sd, and do not want to loose my apps, so I do not knoe if

it will format the whole sd card, or just the partition)

You have to do it in recovery mode! When you format on the phone it is only the fat32 patition.

so 0 to swap and 0 to ext and rest to fat32 will do the trick.

(Maybe there is another way but thats how i did it)
