Modaco vs Rodriguez FROYO

So I've been sticking with Modaco ROMs for a few months now (besides a couple weeks with cyanogen, which i LOVED the trackball wake lol), and today, Paul released his non-work-in-progress Foyo ROM... and the main difference seems to be that it's theme-able and has trackball alerts now... but is that all?

And so after an hour or so of using it today, I did a nandroid, and went to Rodriguez's ROM (located here), but I think I'm not a huge fan of it... it's got some neat features I guess, but I was getting lower linpack results from Rodriguez + his suggested kernel... so i came back, and we'll see... any experiences/opinions/whatever??

I've been running Rodriguez's FROYO ROM without the suggested kernel, and I honestly haven't seen that much of an improvement over stock. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

In my opinion, all of these Froyo builds have essentially the same feature sets. The only differences that really mean anything to me seem to be the smaller aesthetic differences. Themable and trackball alerts are a pretty big deal to me. I can't stand the normal grey status bar, and I love the trackball notifications.

sweet. i'm glad i'm not the only one. I'll stick with paul then.
