Edit: Downloaded from xda-developers and installed using 'adb install RemoteVol.apk' - no icon in App Drawer but tested and working fine with headset. Edit2: RemVol shows up in Uninstaller app, so can be uninstalled without the command line and shows up in Titanium Backup too. Edited June 16, 2010 by Sca1ey

Ye there should be no icons in app drawer - it`s designed as a standalone service.
