Its an update for the sync tool for a Windows PC. Wonder if this is gonna make it harder to get general updates if not using Windows.

Id say definately for that one.

The update is "OTA" (over the air) so no software should be needed.

Right, have installed the PC Suite from the phone and also downloaded the update from the Dell website. When the update is installed, it is showing me a message saying that there is no files to download and it is up to date. Little lost here, so some help would be muchly appreciated.

I've not got it, but I think the new PC suite is the update, and that the Streak itself doesn't have any yet.
