Guest dreezone Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I have a strange problem. Today I replaced a new digitizer and the housing. I have strictly followed the steps in the Samsung service Manual. After setting up the touch screen is working perfectly. its very responsive. But the issue is that the hardware buttons are not working. When the screen is off, I can wake the device with the hardware buttons but after that the buttons are not responsive. Volume down, Camera, Green, Red, Menu buttons are not working. I do not understand the issue. I even reflashed the OS. I do not know whether anyone had a similar issue. I any of you have an idea its a great help. THank you
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Did you reconnect all 3 plugs to the mainboard? Try again because I think that the left one controls the hardware buttons, but I'm not sure :)

What happened is that the volume buttons board wasn't properly attached (the volume down key was hard to press) and, I don't know how, that was making all the buttons to fail. Have you tried to disassemble and then assemble the phone again?
