Have any root users had any luck creating a hotspot out of their streak?

I tried "Barnacle Wifi Tether" and it worked fine, my only concern is the WEP encryption.

Thanks for the pointer. Works great. I got no real issue with WEP only security as I will only likely be using it for my laptop so MAC filtering will do me. Just need to figure out how to set that up!
