I don't think this app has been published on the Market yet. You may search 'Rock(divx)player' for download links (and yes it is free atm so no violations xD).

On my NexusOne it can play .RMVB .RM .AVI(DivX and XviD) .MP4(H.263 and H.264) and (I haven't tested this yet) even .MKV .

Try and enjoy!

Plays the first DivX file I threw at it.

It kinda plays a 720p mkv, but no sound and 6 fps lol. Divx was perfect at 24 fps, and scaled to screen size. Good job.

Works like a charm on the N1. Kudos!

Anyone have any clue where the program comes from? Developer website? Anything? Seems like a phantom program!

The CoreCodec guys dissed it and said it's "nothing new". I'd call the first program that can play half these formats on the phone "something new". Presumably CorePlayer will have GPU acceleration so it won't take out 100% CPU.

I dropped the CPU on my N1 down to around 500Mhz and it still played things ok, albeit at a lower (but still watchable) framerate, so it's not a total dog. The N1 has a faster CPU and probably similarly powerful GPU to my old Xbox, so hopefully similar playback capability ;)

Still looking forward to Coreplayer when it ever turns up, will be a probably reasonably pricey paid app, but possibly worth it.

(Yes, I know Mhz aren't everything...)

Great news. I hope they add file extension association and support progressive download and playback.
