Guest Natsirt Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 will magnetic buttons/closures cause a problem for the phone? Like capacitative screen uses electromagnetism or something to detect touch, will the magnets interfere with this?
Guest Accounts Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 will magnetic buttons/closures cause a problem for the phone? Like capacitative screen uses electromagnetism or something to detect touch, will the magnets interfere with this? I'm not really sure, but I tend to steer clear of cases with magnets, I'm just too scared that it will harm my phone. Updated with new cases.
Guest Natsirt Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I've got a zenus case coming in.. I bought it last sunday, and its still not shipped yet.. good case, but poor distributor I reckon..
Guest zenkinz Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I've got a zenus case coming in.. I bought it last sunday, and its still not shipped yet.. good case, but poor distributor I reckon.. did you get it from gmarket? I got it shipped fairly quickly after I placed the order. And it arrived 3 days after I placed the order.

Guest Kilack Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Anyone know if those invisible shield type cases are any good?
Guest Darkstriker Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Anyone know if those invisible shield type cases are any good? I have one. they are grabby which is nice on the back but not that nice on the screen (altough I dont find them to hinder typing in swype so its fine). They are very resistant but they are rather hard to install. And while this will obviously cover your device from scratches at almost every point, the silver frame is left unprotected and it's not technically a case and offers (almost?) no protection against hard impacts. (That is, it will hold but the device underneath may be damaged by the shock, ie fractured screen) Edited July 12, 2010 by Darkstriker
Guest bigup Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 any other decent cases recently been released?
Guest jag61180 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 any other decent cases recently been released? Body Glove is releasing one for the US version called Vibrant. It will fit the Samsung Galaxy with no problems. This is a really durable case and offers the most protection out of any other case currently available for our phone. I heard about it from another user on AndroidForums and looked it up. On their site there is no image available, because its still in production, but will be shipping out on 08-06-10. They are taking pre-orders now. I was skeptical to order without seeing an image of the case so I emailed customer support and within a couple hours had a response and a photo of a similar designed case on the MyTouch slide. Obviously our will be much slimmer and compact because they won't have to work around a sliding mechanism. I am attaching the link and photo below for you to look at. Phantom Skinz also makes a pretty sweet setup as well for our phones. I would steer clear of Zagg's InvisibleShield, because of the orange peel and horrible scrolling experience. Phantom Skinz is a much better option when we are talking about skinz. There's are ranked top of the line when skins are involved and virtually no change in scrolling and nearly invisible. They also have many options to choose from. They have a clear full body, matte finish clear full body, and then they have there patented Chromatics line (My personal Favorite). The Chromatics line offer some super metallic bright colors or there Carbon Fiber Options. They have both white and black carbon fiber. These are the first textured real 3d carbon fiber looking 3m skinz. Really look good and offer a decent amount of protection. You can choose either option, the super protection Body Glove, or the medium protection Phantom Skinz.... or you can do what I'm doing and order both. The phone will fit in the case with the skins installed (fyi). When you order the clear Phantom Skiz they ship 2 full sets, when you order their chromatics you get two screen protectors, but only one set of the colored back pieces. (LOOK: Everything for the Vibrant will work on the Galaxy S but the screen protector, which will have to be modifed. The Galaxy S has a physical button on the front screen whereas the Vibrant does not. Guest FerdiBorbon Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 phantonskinz WHITE looks SEX! damd guess ill have to order another case, this will be the third lol...
Guest seraphine Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Using the Zenus case. Fairly happy with every aspect of it except that it's near impossible to pull out of my jeans pocket now
Guest ZAnwar Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Using the Zenus case. Fairly happy with every aspect of it except that it's near impossible to pull out of my jeans pocket now  See, this is my worry. I've got my heart set on the White/Red one but don't want it to be so bulky that it'll get stuck in my trouser pockets. Ah well, will have to take the chance and order from eBay.
Guest seraphine Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It's not the bulk! It's the silicone grippiness of the whole case. It grips the fabric of my jeans pocket and makes it hard to get out. See, this is my worry. I've got my heart set on the White/Red one but don't want it to be so bulky that it'll get stuck in my trouser pockets. Ah well, will have to take the chance and order from eBay.
Guest sionyboy Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Some of my friends with iPhones have some arty skins on the back of their iphone, not so much full cover skins but more like a vinyl sticker, are there any similar products on the market in the UK? I want something to cover the back of the phone, just to give it a bit of grippage (and to hide the fantastic-plastic!) but don't want to use a silicone skin as I think it'll be too bulky and probably a bit too grippy. Guest Michael Wagner Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 I ordered one ADVERTISING SPAM leather case for my i9000 last week because they offer worldwide free shipping. The leather is genuine and personally, I think the quality is quite good.
Guest Dogmann55 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Hi all, Well up to my Galaxy S i have always used ADVERTISING SPAM leather cases as they are indeed great quality but i fancied something different for my Galaxy S so this time have gone with the Case-Mate Tough Case which actually consists of 3 parts first you get a really good quality screen protector that doesn't effect the screen quality or use then comes a silicone skin and lastly an ABS plastic shell. Everything fits perfectly and allows access to your ear phone socket and micro USB port and has covers for the power button and volume controls. It is not a cheap case but the quality is excellent and not only does it increase the grip but also will protect your screen if you put it face down as has a slight lip over the front screen it really doesn't add much weight or thickness to the device and I'm really happy with it. It's available on E-Bay @£24.95 although you can make an offer with free postage or Play.com @£15 with free delivery and Mobile Fun have it @£21.95 with various postage options. Marc
Guest Casesmaker Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Melkco's Galaxy S real leather case, I must suggest melkco' s Jacka Type for Galaxy S i9000. It's really slim and secial desgin for business man. If you like the real leather case and creactive design, I think it can fulfill your request. Before I think the leather case is big and heavy. But, when I use this cases, i found the case is very good quality and just fit to my device. I may change the device soon. But during this period, I can use the devide easily without bulky feeling.
Guest Greg330 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 hi guys  ive bought a Samsung case ( 20€) on baybay.. and it has the magnetic clips ( it a pouch with a pull out systeme.. as long as you put the screen away from the magnets no reason why it should be a prob. i dont see why samsung would have taken the risk to have to change phones used with legit parts.... :) ps , i also bought the same pull out pouche at 50% of the original price... it really is rather a grotty copy... id really advise for the original parts :( ps 2 ; i feal riped off by samsung beacause my Omnia2 ( I8000 ) had a neat pouch given with it, and a screen protection that i could leave on it.. ( stayed on it 1 year and is still on... ) cheers.
Guest Terry666 Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I bought an Aluminum metallic case for my Omnia II... BAD CHOICE!!!! NO GPS antenna.... Be careful with this...

Guest Likvidator Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Over two weeks I'm happy with this: Galaxy S STANDING CASE Bought on eBay for $10. Durable. Easy snaps on the phone. Handy to watch movies, etc. :P
Guest Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Anyone know if the i9000 and T-959 (Vibrant) hard cases are compatible? I have a GT-i9000T and am interested in the Samsung Carbon Fiber case http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phon.../ET-6T959BCBHSC
