Guest Frankish Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 My only option to upgrade my ext2 to ext3 is to use and from Windows. I need to find out how to use upgrade_fs. I managed to partition my SD but it says upgrade_fs not found. The reason this is my only option is my trackpad is broken. Also I've tried 2 card readers under Linux but they both only seem to read regular SD and not SDHC. Really stuck here. Help please? I understand its not possible to mount the ext partition whilst the SD is in the phone? If I could I could do this from Linux.

I could be wrong, but I think you can mount it if you're in recovery menu
Guest Frankish Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 In Windows? Or could i do it in linux too? What would the command be to mount the ext if it is second partition? Would the second partition be mmcblk0p1? Then it would appear in Linux? I'm guessing adb shell mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 does that sound about right? From recovery? Thanks for the reply i've posted accross 2 forums with this and you're the first reply.

Guest Frankish Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I get error "mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 on /sdcard failed. Device or resource is busy". I'm doing this in recovery though so why is the ext partition busy? I have no idea at all. Can't someone make the recovery menu just accept power button as confirmation input instead of trackball/trackpad? lol
