The "Prefer 3G Networks" option is missing.

I used this all the time in 1.5 because my 3G signal in my house is rather poor, with one room having no 3G at all, but in 1.5 it was fine with this option (other than no signal). Now, in 2.1, there is no option, meaning my phone will decide to irritate me by sticking on G, when there is no damn need!!

Help me MoDaCo - and pimp ma phone ;)

I had a similar issue with my phone getting stuck on G sometimes. I discovered that there is a setting for this on the Testing panel brought up by tapping in:

*#*#2846579#*#*

Under "Phone Information". By default it is set to WCDMA preferred, but you can set it to WCDMA only. You can also create a handy shortcut to this screen with AnyCut:

Shortcut -> AnyCut -> Activity -> Phone info

I'd say you be legend. I think it worked, but I lol'd at the EvDo only setting.
