Guest DanWilson Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) I used this all the time in 1.5 because my 3G signal in my house is rather poor, with one room having no 3G at all, but in 1.5 it was fine with this option (other than no signal). Now, in 2.1, there is no option, meaning my phone will decide to irritate me by sticking on G, when there is no damn need!! Help me MoDaCo - and pimp ma phone ;) Loadsa edits to make it sound better. Lol this failed! Edited June 19, 2010 by DanWilson
Guest agitate Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 I had a similar issue with my phone getting stuck on G sometimes. I discovered that there is a setting for this on the Testing panel brought up by tapping in: *#*#2846579#*#* Under "Phone Information". By default it is set to WCDMA preferred, but you can set it to WCDMA only. You can also create a handy shortcut to this screen with AnyCut: Shortcut -> AnyCut -> Activity -> Phone info Hope that helps.

I think it worked, but I lol'd at the EvDo only setting. Thanks 1000 times. (If you really want it I'll copy and paste it 1000 times for you, but Paul won't be happy!) ;) :( :) Oh, mine was set by default to "GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)" Just so you know.
