Guest Hakan54 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I updated today my pulse with the hungary 2.1 update. Before updating i had a custom rom fw 1.5. So i updated to 2.1 and after that i wanted to install a custom rom, because i wanted a2sd. Now my phone wont boot, it stops loading at the android logo screen. I did a nandroid back-up, but it somehow dissapeared. I have still acces to the root, so can i force to reset? Hakan,

If its rooted the custom recovery image should still be on go in that by pressing menu red and on toggle usb put a different rom on and do it again but before you do make sure you partion your sd with 32mb and then the recomended after that

Best regards, BigBear Surely there is no way to brick it even if you couldn't access the sd you could take it out and get an addapter put an update.app on and your back to square one?

I would but, sorry, its time to go to bed for me now ;)
Guest Hakan54 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Hmm, that's sad for me. Good night then! I have searched to farious topics and found some files. I have flashed my phone and it booted now. So i have now reset everything and it works just as smooth as before ;)
Guest DanWilson Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 not even I figured out yet how to brick the Pulse ;) The Pulse clearly hasn't met me yet has it? :(
Guest MuhaJR Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 No worries, not even I figured out yet how to brick the Pulse  Weeeeel, I did. Obviously. No signs of life. Pressing power button - nothing, inserting charger cable - nothing, connecting to PC - nothing... I made TimeMachine, December update, and on UK 2.1 update went out of power.... bricked. Anyone knows how to unbrick it, or I have to go to service center?

Anyone knows how to unbrick it, or I have to go to service center? its probably a hardware issue i suppose... bricking is referred to mess up ur phone while updating/installing a rom etc. Best Regards, Xotic

Anyone knows how to unbrick it, or I have to go to service center? My screwed Pulse rebooted a few times in the middle of the updating process, displaying all kind of weird colours when I tried to turn it on. But after a few (well, 10 or so) tries to get into the update mode I managed to flash the UK update again, and the phone booted up again (its still screwed, I guess a hardware fault). Best regards, BB

Best regards, BB Just a (half)noob question: is it possible to kill Pulse with some ROM here? I haven't heard any case so far, but is there any possibillity? So, only way to get it to life again is to go to service center, right? Damn, I hate Croatian T-Mobile when you need service...

I don't think its possible to brick it with a ROM. But you seem to be the living proof that its though possible to brick it during a dload update  Yeah I think that will be your only option, sorry! Best regards, BB
