Guest Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Yeah, I am having problems with not receiving all the text messages that are being sent to me, which is something I just can't live without. (and I also think that my reception has been reduced in 2.1 :S) Right now I'm on FLB-mod beta 4 and I'm just wondering if these steps will make it possible for me to go back to 1.5? "If you want to go back to 1.5 (1. Nand + ext backup if you want) 1. Use Huaweis method to get back to 1.5 2. Install the 1.5 rom you used before updating. (In my case the Swedish rom from 3) 3. Wipe everything (might not be needed but you might as well do so just in case) 4. Format the SD card and put the content-backup of 1.5 in it, put the card in the phone. 5. Use Amon-RA to restore to you nandroid backup that you previously made of 1.5"

Guest h3dshot Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Ok, will I get rid of the ext2 partition on my SD card if I format it? not sure but if you format anything then everything on it is deleted n it goes to a factory like state so id assume it will get rid of ur ext2 partition
Guest goce.nakov Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Ok, will I get rid of the ext2 partition on my SD card if I format it? Yes, it will delete all partitions on SD card
Guest Dan Mullen Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Yes, it will delete all partitions on SD card Are you sure? AFAIK, formatting a partition shouldn't have any effect on the other partitions.

Yes I am sure...done it 1000 times....if you format under Windows or OSx it will erase all partitions ( OS doesn't see ext2 or ext3 etc), if you repartitioned under recovery it will erase all partitions and make new once, only if you do wipe under Recovery it will leave partitions untouched. Guest Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Hey, I just used huaweis "Time machine" updata.app, (haven't installed my original 1.5 rom) and I still boot into FLB-mod (2.1). Should it do this?

Hey, I just formated my SD card, and it seems that my ext2 partition is still on there, what should I do to get rid of it? EDIT: I think I solved it by repartitoning the SD-card so that the ext2 partition had no swap or size! Edited June 21, 2010 by Guest
Guest Minus616 Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Hey, I just formated my SD card, and it seems that my ext2 partition is still on there, what should I do to get rid of it? Well I just partition mine again with the swap/partition size at 0, which removes the partition for me.
Guest ogiogi Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Hey, I just formated my SD card, and it seems that my ext2 partition is still on there, what should I do to get rid of it? Go to Custom Recovery. And select Partition sdcard. Set swap=0 ext=0 and format. That's it ;)
