No Ringer At The Start Of Incoming Calls???

I have an unlocked Pulse which is rooted and is running the latest Oscillation ROM. However, when I recieve and incoming call the phone will instantly vibrate but will not ring until the caller has been calling for about 5 or 6 seconds?

Has anyone else had this problem and how do you solve it?

Cheers,

Dave ;)

That is a known issue, search the forum for "Tips and tricks" post, at the end you have post buy Eckenkunger and link how to resolve that.

HI,

Tried downloading and installing both files but no joy. The ringer does not sound until about 3 - 4 seconds after the incoming call is received. I can find anything in the settings about turning on or off ascending ringtones. Does anyone have any other possible fixes????

Cheers,

Dave

I have the same problem.

2.1 is sexy and all, but it's really irritating.

Surely someone can sort it out?????

The wifi tethering and the ability to move apps to SD is great but the basics has to be a phone you can manage to receive calls on............

Come on folks, any one got any fixes?

;)

I believe the FLB Custom rom solves this issue.

Tweaks:

Added Darktremor A2SD 2.7 update1

Rooted with Superuser 2.1 by ChainsDD

Huawei UI customizations disabled

local.prop 'ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1' tweak

Android Market fingerprint replaced with Verizon Incredible ERE27. Most compatible fix yet.

Wi-Fi Suppliment Scan tweak

Ring delay fix

fix for "Continuing internet access will lead to traffic"

To be honest I'm clueless :(

Seems to work fine for me.. As for the keyboard, I can remember it was very laggy and unresponsive at the start. But then after a few minuets it started working fine, hasn't lagged since ;)

I applied the fix that was mentioned elsewhere. If it doesn't work then I guess the fix doesn't actually fix anything :(

Just installed from clean sd card and wiped phone. Whilst the rom installed ok the Market link is absent, so no apps, which is rubbish and the ringer issue is still there.

Just restored to latest version of Oscillation, as at least its got the market.

Starting to think I am going to have to ditch this phone as the ringer issue is major for me.

;) :(

Try "increasing ring" app, from the market.

I have similar problem, after 2 seconds ringing, sound become very very quiet.

Wooooa!!! Cheers for that. reduced increase interval to 1 second and the phoned is loud loads sooner with this apP.

Great tip fella. Thanks for that. Phone is saved lol. In truth I could not have gone back to Win mobile 6.5, as its so bloody awful.

Thanks to everyone for the help and speedy responses. This site rocks.

If anyone is cooking up a 2.2 ROM, let us know, as I am more than happy to give it a whirl.

Cheers,

Dave ;) :(

You didn't notice then that the Market has been down (showing no apps) for a period of time? linky
