Guest Nitrius Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 If you got your phone connected to the PC, and got the AndroidSDK, you can open cmd and type "adb reboot" to do a regular reboot of the phone i believe. So i wonder, would this be possible to do from the phone instead? Like find some kind of cmd/terminal app and type something to reboot? Or just and app that makes the phone reboot? Is this possible? Also would the phone need to be rooted for this? And are there any cmd/terminal apps you would recommend? Like which is the "best" one to use? Thanks in advance.
Guest kingqueen Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 There are apps in the market place for this (all require root), both free and paid for, but I've yet to find one that actually works reliably.

Guest squrl Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 You'll probably need modified reboot binary and push it to the phone to be able to reboot without using adb. Best reboot app I've found so far is Quick Boot.
