Mobile BBC iPlayer site

Anyone notice the BBC have a mobile site for iPlayer now http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer/ (UK only)

The streams work really smoothly in flash 10.1 beta.. much better than the non-mobile site.. if you can get them start playing.

Whenever I go to watch a show I just get a spinning forever, the only way round it is to start watching the same show on the non-mobile site (by changing the useragent to Desktop, after going to about:debug in the browser) then go back to the mobile site and resume playback.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

to be honest i didnt even realise that there was a mobile version ;) i'll be sure to test this out once i've reflashed back to froyo

I had the same trouble until last night when it just started working so it looks like the BBC tech bods have sorted the issue. The video quality is good and the audio is CD stereo quality it seems. The only problem is that there seems nowhere to stream radio or live TV like the desktop version of the site ;)
