Guest neoclassic Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 SFR, France’s second largest mobile carrier, is officially saying (on its blog) that its Magic will be updated to Froyo this summer, together with the Google Nexus One (which already runs Android 2.2 in Korea). Source: http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/06/22/sfr-...-2-2-froyo-too/ This means that our lovely Heroes can handle 2.2! If HTC doesn't make a 2.2 update for Hero, well we won't need them to!

Guest subhramani Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 LOL... even if we DO receive the Froyo update, I'm dead sure its gonna take another year and a half :-D We'll have it for a day or so before the world ends in 2012 ;)

Well now the AOSP sources have landed for 2.2 I am sure there will be loads of Rom Devs busily compiling 2.2 against the hero hardware drivers....wow, that would mean a working mic! ;)
