Built-in HTC Task Manager 2.1 versus X-Button 1.51

Hi all

I recently upgraded to a new ROM with a built in HTC Task Manager 2.1. I was wondering what is the difference Task Manager and X-Button.

Googling seem to suggest they are the same.

Task Manager 2.1 appears on the Today/Home Screen. I can also access the running apps from the drop down menu, However I cant' get the tap the x button to close the app option. Anybody experience this before?

Installing HTC-X-Button 1.51 seems work fine though, but I wanted to know if it's possible to fix the Task Manager
