good news, hope its true, im tired of buggy hack-froyos (no video, no FM, LED probems, etc), but also dont want to roll back to 2.1 because of JIT and flash.

I can't see why HTC would confirm this to znet rather than posting it on their own site....smells like b.s to me

If it's like the HTC Hero Euro 2.1 update...

probably using that xda-topic from the helpdesk as a source. It just doesn't make sense since google OFFICIALLY told that there's not ETA known yet for releasing froyo for N1. How the hell would HTC be able to give the update...?

It is - read the updated text. They're just trying to drive more traffic for popular search terms i guess.

"Update vom 23.06.2010:

HTC hat über seine PR-Agentur dementiert, dass es in zwei Wochen ein Betriebssystem-Update für das Desire und das Legend geben wird"

BAM. No update.

The google translated page said:

Contrary to the original statement appears Froyo update for the Desire not in the next two weeks

Note: NOT in the next two weeks...

It's pretty funny how everybody keeps believing HTC will roll out this update soon, I don't even believe we will see it before september or so! ;)
