I was just messing around with the phone and ended up demoving the htcLockscreen.apk from my phone and rebooted it. I ended up getting the default AOSP lockscreen but it was all messed up. Instead of the horizontal slide, its become vertical slide.

Any idea how I can fix that?

Cant you take it from your original ROM and "push it" again?

@ddotpatel

I dont want the HTC Lock screen. I want the AOSP lock screen. Which is what comes up, but is completely disintegrated.

@dr.dre

I'm using Paul's Taiwanese 2.1 repack ;)

Even I was looking for that but it has many issues regarding Alarm and Lock Screen Wallpaper change, But if you want the complete set of Lock Screen you can flash Villain ROM 10.3, It has all fixes done to it. :(

Even if I manage to make the Lock Screen work, I wont be able to fix the Alarm issues and the Wallpaper.

Not the Alarm clock, But when alarm rings and when the phone is in sleep mode it uses the lock screen to put of the alarm or to snooze it.

The HTC alarm clock lock screen sucks actually. It's sooooo easy to accidentally swipe down which dismisses the alarm. The button for snooze is *tiny* and very difficult to press with a fat thumb. I've been late for work a few times cos of this.

Vanilla Lockscreen :-

Vanilla_Lockscreen.zip

Vanilla Lockscreen + Alarm Clock (For the Alarm Fix) :-

Vanilla_Lockscreen___Clock.zip

And remember this will wipe the Dalvik Cache, so it will take time to boot

Source :- Sorry! I don't remember the link, But I managed to find it.

Im getting a reboot after it gets loaded onto the Lock cscreen at startup...thats with the zip which incudes the clock...

Try using just the Vanilla Lockscreen.zip and push the DeskClock.apk via ADB separately.

I snooze with volume buttons (sometimes not work) or with OFF/call-Off button (that's not dismiss)

I would also get a 2.1 unlock ! because Hero one can be unlock when pushing in or out of a pocket !

Same issue even with just the lockscreen zip... weird

It does show, in the top right, that Sim PIN Incorrect %d

Then it reboots. I can swipe to the right to get rid of the screen but it still just reboots...

Are you using some kind of SIM Lock or PIN ?

@ Dr. dre

Thanks a lot man. It worked for me when I was on Villain 10.3. But thats when the whole lock screen was transparent. The AOSP lock screen worked but I was able to my home screen through it. So I 'pushed' the htclockscreen.apk from Paul's 2.1 ROM and flashed the AOSP lockscreen and it hasnt worked ever since.

I will try it once again and check.
