[HOWTO] Root the HTC Official 2.1 (Untested)

Just saw this now, apparently it works for all HTC 2.1 devices using the 'fake ota' method.

I will rewrite the guide here once someone has confirmed it works.

I can not and will not test this as I wasn't stupid enough to flash the official 2.1 RUU.

Once you get to clockwork mod recovery you should be able to flash a custom rom!
