"After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Build number (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Build number). The new Build number after the update will be 2.73.707.91 (Singapore) & 2.73.728.91 (Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia)"

Actually, you quoted the wrong passage ;)

Correct one is:

After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Firmware version (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Firmware version). The new Firmware version will be 2.1.

Are you sure this is the 2.1 update, Because it starts with 2.73.xxx.x
