Guest DesireUser Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Could someone please give me a clear and easy to understand method of getting Apps2SD on to my Desire? I've spent two days on this, all to no avail, and it's doing my head in ;) I've succesfully rooted my phone using the 0.80 bootloader method, but I simply can't get apps2sd working at all. Everything is still loaded on to phone memory. In the topic regarding the root method Paul posted saying that apps2sd was now working on it, but I can't see any reference to it and it's definitely not working on my phone. Someone suggested using 'ROM Manager' but when I tell it to partition the SD card it won't. I know my phone is rooted because I've got the 'Superuser permissions' and 'root explorer' seems to work too. The problem seems to be that my SD card isn't partitioned properly, but whenever I try to find out how to do it it all seems to get very confusing. Can anyone please help? Thanks

Thanks I'd say try partitioning from within AMDesireRecovery...that worked for me
Guest DesireUser Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I'd say try partitioning from within AMDesireRecovery...that worked for me Sorry but I've got no idea what that is. I've just downloaded thje zip by Googling it, but I've no idea how to use it. Looks like something to run from a command line, but I've no idea what it does or what it is.
Guest FinkDix Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I was also having some problems with Apps2sd. I partitioned my SD Card using ROM Manager, and then I manually flashed the latest Modaco 2.1 ROM. Seemed to do the trick for me.

The only way I know how to do it is to follow the instructions provided in the thread.
Guest DesireUser Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 OK. I think I've figured out how to manually install it. I've just instaled a custom ROM with Apps2sd working ;) Does anyone have a direct link to the standard Desire 2.1 ROM with Apps2sd? I just want to make sure I've got the right one. Thanks
