[Discussion] about Smooth touch feeling

Shall we discuss, why Iphone have so smooth touch and program running feeling, but 7610, no matter which rom to flash, we still can feel delaying in use? IPhone processor are 600Mhz but 7610 is 800Mhz. Why faster processor has slower perfomance?

I think the smooth touch has something to do with the capacitive touch screen vs our resistive one.

The reason it's running faster at lower speed has something to do with windows mobile. WM just eats memory and speed.

Iphone doesn't run programs in the background. Also the processor can simply be faster. A 4.6 GHz Pentrium 4 is waaay slower than a simple single 1.8 GHz core 2 duo core.

But I think there is more reason on the software itself.

e.g, if we use the mainmenu.exe to replace original mainmenu, the touch is very smooth, no difference from IPHONE menu feeling.

e.g, WM sms is much faster than Samsung SMS UI.

those makes me think if samsung is weak in software development and optimization. Thus it wastes the 800Mhz powerful cpu but makes it very slow. honestly, if we are using samsung official rom, it is a nightmare.
