Guest Rhysd2 Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Hey guys In the last day I've had some ghost contacts show up in my contacts list. They arent in my google or facebook contacts but when I go to edit or delete them it sells me they are from a ready only source and cant be touched. some are (unknown) and some are duplicates of people I know. Any idea how to fix this? cheers
Guest peekofai Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 they are from your facebook. i disabled contacts sync on the inbuilt facebook widget and they all vanished. if you've removed those widgets, you can go into settings under "partner services" or something like it and disable contacts sync with facebook
Guest clickspace Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I had the exact problem. Two of my contacts became 'read only' and I couldn't delete them. I ended up factory resetting mine which got rid of them. when it all restarted I saw that Bluebook was on my contact list before syncing with my Google contacts, that is also read only. is there any way to delete Bluebook?
Guest craigdabbs Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 im using the standard facebook app/widget and facebook sync to get contact photos, works great ;)
Guest Rhysd2 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I had already disabled the inbuilt facebook stuff in partner services so it wasnt that. And yep I have bluebook in there as well. what the heck is that for? really dont want to factory reset *sigh* must be some way of getting rid of them
Guest AuirR Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Bluebook is a bug. You can go to Gmail and delete all bluebook contacts. Then sync again.
Guest Rhysd2 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I ended up factory resetting the phone. Seems OK now. However the bluebook ones still there. Looked in my google contacts and cant see it. Is it in a special area?

Guest clickspace Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Bluebook is not in my gmail.com contacts either. I guess it just came with O2.
