Hello,

now, with eclair kernel source, it is possible to have OverClocked kernel for eclair (880, 920 Mhz)

All "our" devs :D are working on Froyo, its perfect and I agree that it is the way and thx for a million that you are making this. But Froyo roms still need a lot of time to make them OK and are buggy now ( no camera, graphic bug, sdcard problems, sensors, reboots, etc.).

We have perfect and stable eclair bin (1.100.15) for people who want "fully" working and rock stable liquid (me and I hope many, many others), but OC will be fine to gain some more power to our A1 and we are waiting for it for "ages"...

So, DEVS, make an OC kernel for eclair, please :D

One hundred per cent agreement, kernel 128 - 920MHz would be a great!

+1 also add netfilter to be able to use wifi tethering and we have perfect 2.1 (besides flash it would be only reason to move to 2.2 IMHO).

I think malez is on his way to do that.

Anyway, HUGE side note on that:

Everyone expects that this kernel would work exactly the same way as current Éclair's kernel. That's wrong, this sources ARE NOT the sources of current Eclair build's kernel.

If you use these sources as is, you won't get 3D, video decoding, sound.

Is making everything work with Eclair as hard as it seems to be for Froyo ? (camera, wifi, ...)

really?

btw Acer has to release latest build's kernel sources as GPL (linux license) forces them to!

We had that debate when the 1.6 sources came out...

Hi!

Here is. I built from the Eclair source. 921MHz version. http://www.4shared.com/file/hT-yvNUW/boot-921.html

For wifi working you need this http://www.4shared.com/file/s2JzKWEe/dhd.html

adb remount

adb push dhd.ko /etc/wifi

I used this all day I didn't see any strange thing. Things I used today with this kernel. Bluetooth, music, 3G, calls etc. I dont use any 3D application.

EDIT: I tested 3D,wifi also works.

Please make a Nandroid backup from your current system before flash this.

What patches did you apply ? Which kernel config did you use ?
