Learn programming for Android

Hi,

I like to program, but I have never stuck with a language for me to progress further into.

I think the main reason is that I was always looking for the "best" language to program with, but never found it, and I now know that there is NO "best" language to program with.

I went from VB, Java, C++, Python, ASP & PHP. Never really got far with any of them as I didn't find myself a project to get interested in to farther myself.

So, my main question is, if someone can recommend me what language can be used to program for the android. I have nothing in particular that I want to make at present, but I would like to learn something that I can use to program almost anything.

From what I understand, android uses Java, but I think that you can also program for android in c# & python, is this true?

C# or C++ will do but I don't know of python
