Guest Simon O Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 I stupidly copied one of my phone contacts to my SIM a week ago and I've been trying to delete this from the card as I cannot stop it from showing up as a contact in the SMS application. I read somewhere than Contacts2SIM can delete them so I gave it a try with bad results... it created another 17 contacts on my SIM card, all with strange names and numbers of 1234567890 Whenever I try to delete contacts the phone just cannot do so. It's like something inside Android is blocking any app from removing from the SIM card. Obviously I can write to the SIM, but deleting seems impossible. I don't have another phone to delete so before I take the SIM to a T-Mobile shop on Monday does anybody know a working solution for deleting SIM contacts please?

I'v done that thru RBM contact app (the one you have on your ROM), in the menu tell the app to show the SIM contacts also and then just delete them (worked for me)
Guest Wolverine007 Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 (edited) I'v done that thru RBM contact app (the one you have on your ROM), in the menu tell the app to show the SIM contacts also and then just delete them (worked for me) I Had this problem to and deleted my contacts the same way you did. Except the day after I did this I noticed that the contacts where still there. Luckily I had another phone I could put it in so I deleted through the other phone. So I sugest fibblesan to borrow a phone from someone and delete the contacts there. Wolverine007 Edited June 27, 2010 by Wolverine007
