Guest Spooke Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 Hi guys, sorry to create a newthread but Im not getting any answers from posting in other threads, My pulse is on 2.1, its way too unstable and I want to sell the phone, Please can someone write up a detailed guide on how to do it, as the one in Pulse Ultimate guide is incorrect and does not tell you exactly how to do it :lol: Thanks!

I can't tell you exactly what to do as I don't know anyone who has successfully done this yet. The base guide is here: http://android.modaco.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=1318838 However the only things I don't know are: If the "December Update" is a full rom that can be flashed via the same method as the 2.1 update And if the Original recovery image has a "Toggle USB" option (If not you will need a Micro SD card reader) Here is the Rom to flash if the December update is NOT a rom: http://content.modaco.net/pulse/update-pul...bile-signed.zip Again it is unknown if this will flash the same way as the 2.1 update. I did it. :lol: It actually was quite simple in the end. (But just to clarify, I did not flash the December update, since my phone is not a Pulse; I flashed the B251 ROM for the CHT8000.)

Ahh ok, I thought that the 1.5 downgrade changed the partitions, so how can it boot back into 2.1 :S, I will give it ago anyway, thanks for the help!

Hmmm I did too. When I installed the "time machine" patch I was able to get right back into the Custom recover Image, then toggle usb, then install the December update, then re-apply the custom recovery image then install the 1.7 vanilla custom rom :lol:

When I installed the "time machine" patch I was able to get right back into the Custom recover Image, then toggle usb, then install the December update, then re-apply the custom recovery image then install the 1.7 vanilla custom rom :lol: So when you did the timemachine, when it rebooted u went into recovery mode, then copied the December 'Dload' onto ur SD, then reboot system, hold down the buttons, apply december update, I only want to get back to stock 1.5 so I can sell the phone :D Thanks!
