Guest Liquidator Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 (edited) Hi, Recently, I have backupped and then deleted the gtalk and notifications processes with Titanium backup. Now I find the market won't work anymore (downloads don't start) and I've found on the web this is related to the gtalk process. So now I want to restore gtalk from the backup in Titanium, but I can't find how. Can somebody help me here? Edited July 2, 2010 by Liquidator
Guest B4rt Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 if you click on settings, there is an option called 'batch'. Click that, in there you should see an option to restore missing applications.
Guest Liquidator Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 OK, I did Batch and Restore apps (this time with the Gallery which I uninstalled after backupping) and... nothing. Doesn't appear in app list, no "Install" option in Titanium... What am I doing wrong?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Go into the Backup/Restore menu, Scroll down to the bottom. You should see a bunch of apps which say "Not Installed." Tap on it, and you will have the option to restore app or app+data.

Did I do something wring in the backup?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Wow no idea. Is USB Debugging enabled? If not, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=667863 try installing GTalk manually to get your market back. Then maybe try updating Titanium Backup. See if that does anything to make it work.

Did I do something wring in the backup? It could be one of 2 reason i think: * Backup is not present where Titanium expects it. * Unknown Sources is unticked in the applications menu (Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources)

Are you sure you got the apk to gotten backtedup?

Always before titanium have only made a backup of the data when it comes to system apps for me. Are you sure you got the apk to gotten backtedup? No, I'm not sure, I just chose "backup"... Hoping that would do the job. Apparently it doesn't, so now I lost my Galepry... Have to go search for an apk then I'm afraid.
Guest Liquidator Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 OK, I'm getting really confused now... Whats the point of a backup when you can't restore??? I took the Gallery3D.apk from LCR 1.7, tried to install on phone -> doesn't work. Then tried to install via adb install -> didn't work [iNSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION]...
