Problems involving calls & internet usage.

My first problem, being the most minor, is that I believe my Pulse, if not all, has really bad or simply quiet sound quality to whoever is on the receiving end of my calls. There's been so many times where I'm on a call with someone, and they'll ask me to repeat what I said. Whether I'm talking quietly without realising, or if it's generally the Pulse and it's bad quality calls, I don't know. Does anyone else have this problem?

As for my second issue.. I changed to o2 from T-Mobile a month ago, and got the payg deal of 300 free uk texts and unlimited internet usage for a month. My month appeared to have come to an end today when I was browing the market on GPRS (I think.. the G in my notification bar) and what I think happened was, it totally drained all my credit, because I can't send text messages or make calls. I had no idea it would drain it that quickly, or anything. And I haven't stopped getting text messages from o2 today saying, "You need at least 17p calltime credit to access your mobile internet service. To top-up blah blahh". So, it would seem my phone is trying to do something using the internet still, which is why it's sending all these text messages. Ever since this afternoon, they've been coming and coming, now with a total of 354. Luckily I blacklisted the number so I didn't get anymore notifications.

SO MY QUESTION IS.. when my internet usage has expired, and before I get the chance to top-up, what can I do to stop my credit from being drained again? Is there a switch that turns off all internet usage? Because I know there's the data service one (I think) but doesn't that turn calls/texts off too? :/

disable data service, this does not affect your texts unless they are multimedia text i.e picture/video/sound messages, for standard sms it still works fine

This will be like a joke, but...

Try using the phone when calling with ur left hand, cause the mic is on the low right corner...

Just thought I would through this out their..

Tmobile Pay as you go charge as you use the internet but will only ever charge you a maximum of £1 per day (1gb fair use, no extra if you go over)

The reason why I totally despise O2 is that when I had my cookie (Resistive touch screen) it unlocked itself and played around on the internet all day, drained all £10 of my credit.

This is very likely to be the problem as I've had the same problem when I realized that the way I tend to hold the phone when making a call has the microphone hole covered by the base of my thumb.

I think we should take the positive view and say that this is just another way in which the Pulse is equal to the iPhone 4 as it also requires a holding in a special way!

That sounds good. It's just, on T-Mobile, there isn't any good text deals, from what I could see anyway. I like the 300 texts a month.

Don't you get unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £10/month on PAYG? Plus, if you don't use the £10, it just carries over to the next month continuously until you do use it. I know someone who texts a lot, but doesn't talk much. He now has well over £100 credit

I still like the Pulse more than iPhone.
