Hey all, are we sure that the pulse screen isn't resistive?

100% sure

I thought so. Lol luvvin the simultaneous eye rolls haha.

It does seem odd that they would use a capacitive screen without the main benefit of a capacitive screen available (multitouch). Theres nothing strictly wrong with resistive is there?

Just that it can get scratched very easy as it is not covered in glass

If its made well you almost can't notice the difference.

Isn't a resistive touchscreen also capable of multitouch?

I mean look at the G1.

It has MT with a resistive screen.

But the G1 has a capacitive touch screen

But I am 99% certain I have heard of resistive multi touch

capacitive != multitouch

an incredible resistive true multitouch panel:

t-mobile pulses capacitive panel: http://www.synaptics.com/sites/default/fil...15-01-Rev-B.pdf (it is not capable of multitouch. The 2000 series has dual-touch and the 3000 series has true multitouch)

mod: it is 2000 series. So it is dual-touch capable.

capacitive and resistive is only a technology, not a feature.

A really good article about resistive and capacitive touch panels in hungarian. (maybe it is understababe in googe translate)

Capacitative touchscreens detect fluctuations in capacitance caused by your conductive fingers. Resistive ones detect pressure. The easiest way to tell is whether you can use a stylus.

Interesting fact I found out by accident.

You can use an unopened banana as a stylus on a capacitive screen

No, not working for me.

Ah wait, you said UNopened.

i've heard that its good for exfoliating capacitative screens, not too good for resistive ones...

at least it was a banana of the fruit kind and not the one that sits by ones pocket

Well.

These screens work with human skin.

Go figure :D

i hope they were talking about that kind... I wonder what could be an unopened banana ... :D

I know you can use a sausage as a stylus on a capacitive screen.
